Henry Cavill is Superman

Deadline have broken the story that British actor Henry Cavill will be playing Superman in Zack Synder's forthcoming Superman movie.
He certainly looks the part:

He's all hunking and that, and by all accounts, he's a rather good actor also.

It's amusing to the read the comments below the story linked above- apparently some people can tell that this film is going to 'suck' already! What makes this even more amazing is that the film is not due for release until December 2012- yes, TWO YEARS from now, and yet the great sages of the web can tell it will be rubbish. Don't you just love the internet?

Sucker Punch full trailer

The trailer for Sucker Punch, the new movie from Zack Snyder, director of comic adaptations 300 and Watchmen has just been let loose, and rather mental it is too.

It looks like they had a book with every action movie subject in the world and flicked through it a couple of times to get a scene.

Flick flick... okay, Dragons... flick flick... World War One... okay, that's a bit strange but well go with it, maybe give the book one more flick through... flick flick... giant samurai warriors with mini-guns... okay, perhaps we should stop now...

Anyway judge for yourselves! We don't know what to make of this yet, but one thing is for sure, it does look eye meltingly spectacular. Plus, it's got Scott Glenn in it.
